The LeadUp programme is designed to fill the major gap in supporting emerging mid-level leaders across both the marine and terrestrial community-based conservation landscape.

The LeadUp programme aims to create lasting connections between the leading local conservation organisations in East Africa, and to start to break down silos between the marine and terrestrial sectors. It also will further strengthen linkages between key member organisations of the first senior leaders’ marine cohort.

Led by Maliasili with support from Blue Ventures, Tusk, Wildlife Conservation Network, and The Nature Conservancy, this programme equips emerging leaders with the crucial skills, confidence, and tools they need to build organisational capacity, reach, and support communities.
